Position Summary: Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a provider maintaining regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with providers about changes in patient's condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of Certified or Registered Medical Assistant training program

EXPERIENCE

  • 2 to 3 years medical experience in a physician's office or equivalent in combination of training or experience preferred

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

  • CMA (AAMA) Certification, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or RMA (ARMA) Certification
  • Current BCLS certification
