Job Title: Risk Management and Quality Director
Job Type: Full Time, Exempt
How you'll contribute
Director is responsible for development/administration of Performance Improvement, Risk Management, and Staff Development activities throughout the hospital to ensure that all state, federal, TJC standards for care consistently met. Collects and analyzes data on hospital performance, incidents, and documentation to improve hospital performance and ensure provision of quality care. Works closely with all Department Director's to recommend/provide required staff development and tailored programs based upon data analysis. Monitors, investigates, and as required, reports all
hospital incidents.

Qualifications and requirements
Education:
- Master's degree in a health related field preferred, or Bachelor's degree in a health related field with equivalent in a psychiatric hospital.
Licenses & Certifications:
- CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.
- If applicable, the candidate must hold a current, active, and unencumbered nursing license issued by the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor the hospitals quality program.
- Demonstrates an extensive knowledge of all regulatory standards including TJC, Medicaid, state, and federal laws.
- Advises and informs departments on regulatory standards.
- Works with hospital employees to identify risk/safety concerns and leads the team to take correction action as needed.
- Collects and analyzes data on hospital performance.
- Collects incident reports; records, analyzes, investigates data and reports to Quality Council and CEO.
- Utilizes the PDCA method to develop improvement plans for the hospital.
- Ensures hospital meets all regulatory standards and laws.
- All other duties assigned.
