Job Summary

The Director of Quality, Risk Management and Compliance oversees the hospital's performance improvement initiatives, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and legally compliant healthcare services across the hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the hospital's quality program and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of TJC, Medicaid, state, and federal regulations
  • Advise departments on regulatory compliance and standards of care
  • Lead risk assessment efforts and guide staff in addressing safety concerns
  • Collect, analyze, and investigate hospital performance and incident reports
  • Report findings to the Quality Council and CEO
  • Utilize PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology to develop action plans
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with department leaders on staff development programs
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in a health-related field preferred, or Bachelor's with equivalent experience in psychiatric healthcare
  • Experience: Previous experience in psychiatric healthcare settings required; background in dual diagnosis, substance use, or geriatric care preferred
  • License: Active and unencumbered nursing license (if applicable)
  • Certifications: CPR and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of hire
