LPN - Clinic

Description:

The LPN is responsible for providing nursing care consistent with the goals and philosophy of the Wythe Physician Practices. The LPN is required to provide professional nursing care and assists in the delivery of health care management for patients. This position requires strong clinical and critical thinking skills. The LPN must be able to multi-task in a very fast paced, family practice/internal medical office environment. This position will float to cover as needed in all Physician Practices clinics.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing

Licensure: Must hold an active and unrestricted Virginia nursing license or must be compact state eligible. Valid Virginia Driver's License.

Special Qualifications: BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Technical Requirements:

1. 1. Demonstrate knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds.
   2. Must be proficient with all technical /medical equipment in all clinics.
   3. Must display proficiency in EMR, order entry and other clinic and hospital systems.
   4. Significant working knowledge of computers, telephones, copy and fax machines.
   5. Athena and Meditech experience preferred.
