Medical Technologist (MT), Lab Department
Job Type: Full-time, Night Shift
Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory.
Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs common testing procedures and reports test results.
Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Performs quality control testing.
Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.
Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.
Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology and ASCP certification by a CLIA approved credentialing organization OR
BS equivalency by passing a certification exam given by a CLIA approved credentialing organization MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MT(AMT), MLS(AMT):

MT (ASCP) certification OR equivalent MT/MLS (AMT) OR State of Tennessee Medical Technologist license OR Medical Technologist- General Supervisor:
