This is a diverse position in a team-oriented Radiology Department with a need to cover PTO time for other clerical staff. It also includes work in our Breast Center to help the technological staff while learning integral systems utilized in the Radiology Department.
How you'll contribute
An Administrative Assistant who excels in this role:
- Serves as primary contact for Radiology support staff and coordinates communication with physicians and patients.
- Schedules procedures and provides necessary instructions and prep information.
- Prepares and manages correspondence, reports, and presentation materials.
- Oversees Radiology transcription processes and coordinates with off-site teams.
- Monitors emergency department (ED) call logs and manages discrepancy reporting.
- Screens and routes calls and visitors, addressing or escalating inquiries as needed.
- Assists Radiologists with transcription and PACS-related issues, coordinating with PACS/RIS Administrator when necessary.
- Manages image burning to CDs for distribution or pickup.

What we're looking for
Applicants must have a High school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:
- Secretarial/clerical experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.
