Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Monitor Tech for our Medical & Surgical Department. This job is permanent, full-time.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
Reads telemetry test strips and places them in the patient charts at required intervals.
Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent or higher level of education: □ Preferred X Required
Two years of college: X Preferred □ Required
Required Skills/Certifications:
The below certifications will be required within 60 days of hire:
X Basic Life Support (BLS)
