Position Summary:

Scanning all records into ImageNow.
Maintain daily work flow, insuring that records are scanned in a timely and efficient manner to avoid delay in further processing.

Collects medical records from discharges.

Scanning of medical records.

Answers telephone in medical records.

Assists with requests for medical information.

Reports to: Director of Health Information Management

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent Required

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Minimum Work Experience

Medical terminology and office experience preferred. Previous computer data entry experience preferred.
