Workforce Scheduling Consultant - Hybrid

Reporting to the VP Enterprise Business Service - Human Capital Management, the position will be responsible for the standardization of scheduling processes (e.g., demand forecasting, shift planning, time off management, schedule optimization etc.), designing and building the future state design, identifying, and communicating change impacts to business stakeholders, and implementing the technology to support a large-scale transformation project.
This position is responsible for business process development for all scheduling processes in Human Capital Management including the development of policies and procedures, documentation, and underlying data for scheduling activities (e.g., forecasting work requirements, management of employee time off requests, shift rotation, etc.).
Essential Functions:
- Interpret employer policies and procedures, entity procedures and applicable laws. Consult with managers, providing guidance and education on appropriate compliance.
- Understand the detailed components of Human Capital Management, specifically scheduling and workforce management processes in healthcare.
- Document current state Human Capital Management practices and requirements.
- Document changes to organization structure, policies, procedures, roles, and responsibilities as required.
- Facilitate the process of standardizing scheduling/workforce management human resource data and related configurations (e.g., PTO requests, shift rotations, etc.) and build the system to meet business requirements.
- Assist in the development of future state business processes for scheduling/workforce management, leveraging best practices, to increase efficiency, promote standardization, and reduce cost.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and consolidation in current operations.
- Work with enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) transformation team to design, configure, and test ERP system(s) as needed.
- Document and maintain functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and workflow in conjunction with IT analysts.
- Define integration requirements with other systems (e.g., point of use systems, mobile technology, EDI exchanges).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in scheduling or workforce management within the Human Capital Management function.
Strong understanding of scheduling processes and requirements in a healthcare environment.
Detailed knowledge of human capital management including all aspects of scheduling and workforce management processes, and practices.
Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and compliance related to scheduling and workforce management, including workforce scheduling performance metrics, such as schedule adherence, absenteeism, overtime usage and workforce productivity.
Familiarity with HR systems and tools, particularly those related to scheduling and workforce management.
Strong system skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning software (“ERP”).
Solid understanding of process design and business process improvement methodologies.
Exceptional interpersonal and team building skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to manage tasks with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong commitment to customer service.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
