Position Summary:

As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice of Medical/Surgical - Telemetry nursing

Reports to: Director Telemetry


Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline (LPN) - Required

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required

Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association) - Required to be current upon hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association) - Required within 6 months of hire

Required Skills
Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State LPN licensure – Required
Proof of certification in IV therapy as mandated by the State of TN (ref: Chapter 1000-02 - .15 LPN Scope of Practice) - Preferred
