Position Summary:
Under minimum supervision, assists the Director of Surgical Services with planning, organizing, delivering, and coordinating patient care. Professional Ambulatory SDS-OR for surgery patients in accordance with the surgical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN.
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited/ approved school of nursing as an Associate Degree/ Diploma Nurse; Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
2 years preferred, but not required
Required Skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of appropriate equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective patient outcomes. Detail oriented, with ability to prioritize and multitask. Ability to apply sound judgment with clinical skills for optimal patient care. Demonstrates flexibility by accepting and supporting changes in work assignments as related to department and patient needs.
Certifications/License
Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or Multistate license.
Current BLS required. ACLS, PALS preferred.
