Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Department Manager/Supervisor the Respiratory Therapist must be able to perform all duties and functions of the Respiratory Care Department assigned to him/her.  The Respiratory Therapist will be accountable, responsible, and capableof serving as a resource of knowledge, planning, managing, coordinating, and evaluating Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients' respiratory needs and treatments to facilitate optimal outcomes for a select group of patients/patrons. In collaboration with physician, Nurse Manager, and other members of the health care team to determine the appropriateness of therapy and treatment modalities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved School of Respiratory Therapy, N.B.R.C. Program, accredited by COARC.  Registry-Eligible Respiratory Therapist, Current BLS certification, Current PA RCP License.  Must attain Certified Respiratory Therapist credential 6 months within date of hire and attain Registered Respiratory Therapist credential within 1 year of date of hire.
