Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst provides financial analysis and analytics support to operations, financial operations, and the Revenue Cycle analytics. Creates and maintains various monthly/weekly reports and ad hoc patient revenue analyses to support both the revenue cycle and managed care teams.

Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.

Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.

Exhibit a basic understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices

Reports to: Director of Finance

FLSA: Exempt


Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance required.
Minimum Work Experience
3 years experience in Finance and Accounting concepts.
3 years experience in Finance Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting or Services Accounting.
*Requires strong computer experience with spreadsheets, and complex analytic programs.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge in Finance and Accounting concepts
Basic knowledge in Finance Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting or Services Accounting
Basic knowledge in MS Office - Word, Excel, Power Point

Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.

Technical Computer Skills -- Demonstrate use of intermediate computer operations (basic programming, relation-al databases, and operating systems) and intermediate software packages.

Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Effective human relations skills are required for interfacing with team members, all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families and other contacts. Must possess the ability to effectively function in a stressful environment. Must possess the ability to use the following equipment: Telephone/Overhead Paging System/Fax Machine/Calculator/Computer. As pertinent to the position, must be able use computer, telephone, calculator and adapt to new technology as it becomes available and necessary for the job. Must have a positive attitude, even temperament in stress/conflict situations.
