Position Summary:

Provides primary and episodic care to patients-independently and in collaboration with other medical professionals-following standards and protocols set by the sponsoring facility/Medical Director. Functions as a member of clinical team in maintaining patient flow and maximizing the delivery of quality care to patients. Emphasizes health promotion and/or disease prevention through patient education and coordination of care. Follows regulations and guidelines for writing prescriptions.


Minimum Qualifications:

 

Minimum Education:  Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.

 

Minimum Experience:  Two years previous professional nursing experience with one to three year’s experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. 

 

Certification/Licensure:  Certified as a Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure to include NM Controlled Substance, DEA license, and Board Certification.  CPR certification required. 

 

Must be skilled in traditional nursing disciplines of patient assessment and management.

 

For New hires: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification.

 

Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
