Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
Provides images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
Processes the images for radiologist review.
Minimum Education:
Associate's degree preferred. Graduate of a program in discipline required.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire.
New hires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American Heart Association certifications. Notwithstanding this ‘grace period’ for obtaining American Heart Association certifications, employees are not excused from being current in any and all existing certifications that are required for their position as outlined in the position job description.
Licenses:
New Mexico State Radiologic Technologist Certificate (NMT)
and
ARRT certification/registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certified
