We are recruiting for a Manager, Accounting to join our Lifepoint Rehabilitation. 
This position manages activities within the Lifepoint Rehabilitation Accounting Department and ensures the integrity of the financial statements.  Support the financial planning and analysis activities.  Ensure that the balance sheets are accurate in all areas for which Lifepoint Rehabilitation is responsible and coordinate month-end close activities.  Assist division CFO and Controller with projects, as needed.
Essential Functions:
  • Plans and organizes monthly Division accounting work and monitors controls to evaluate performance and compliance with Lifepoint monthly "close"
  • Plans and participates in initiatives to facilitate timely projects and keep Finance department informed
  • Supervises and coordinates internal and external audits, as well as SOX requests
  • Provides analytics around quarterly 10Q/ annual 10K reviews
  • Maintains standardized financial policies and procedures
  • Leads the overall monthly close process
  • Supports the Division’s short-term incentive program and other recognition / incentive programs 
  • Assists in the completion of manual budget process across all operations, including coordination with other divisions
  • Consolidates weekly forecast updates from operating units, provides insights, and coordinates weekly review call
  • Prepare weekly operating and financial reports and provide analytic support
  • Prepare and/or reviews monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for completion
  • Excellent accounting and financial skills, including a sound knowledge of SOX requirements
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  Prefer knowledge of SAP or similar accounting applications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective managerial skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance workload and drive process improvements and efficiencies
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact in a professional manner with people at all levels of the organization, including senior/executive management


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 8+ years experience in general accounting
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience in an accounting environment
