Description

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital is a free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility located on the east side of Madison, Wisconsin. Our rehabilitation hospital opened in September 2015 and offers specialized programs for people who have experienced stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitative services. Our goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery with a goal of returning home as soon as able. The UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital is a partnership between UW Health, Unity Point Meriter and Kindred Healthcare.

We are looking to hire an As Needed Maintenance Technician/Handyman who will assist in all maintenance needs in the hospital, but will focus much of their time on:

  • Repair/paining of walls throughout the hospital
  • Replacing light bulbs
  • Repair of flooring issues
  • Repair of medical equipment (beds, carts, etc.)
This is a casual (PRN) position with a flexible schedule.  Amount of hours will vary from week to week depending on the needs of the hospital at the time, but will not exceed 20 hours per week.  


Qualifications

Experience/Skills:

  • Atleast2 years’ experiencewithmaintenance or handyman work.

  • Able to communicateeffectivelyinEnglish,bothverballyand in writing.

  • Basiccomputerknowledge.
