Telemetry Monitor Tech PRN, Telemetry, .01 Part-time Hours Varied

Performs accurate documentation of cases for the department.

Monitors and interprets patient heart rhythm and documents on patient record per department standards.

Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.

Troubleshoots monitors with nursing staff and contacts Clinical Engineering as appropriate.

Cleans, disinfects, and stores leads and telemetry units. Replaces defective equipment and reports failures to Clinical Engineering.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate's degree (Preferred)

*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications

Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
