Jackson Purchase Medical Center Office LPN is supervised and delegated by a Nurse Practitioner or physician, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Essential Functions
Under the direction of an RN or Physician, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN or Physician.
Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given.
Assists RN or Physician with development of plan of care.
Assists patients with performing daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patients and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Review and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant Company and Division policies and procedures.
Qualifications - External
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required. Associates Degree Preferred.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Licenses: LPN license to practice in the State of Kentucky.
