Nurse Float Pool - Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Tech

Wages start at $17.50hr for CNA and $16.74 for PCT and increase with experience.

This is a full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status), day shift Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Tech position in the Nurse Float Pool.0

Certified Nurse Assistant

The Certified Nurse Assistant works as an integral part of the patient care team providing support and assistance to a wide variety of patients and families. Performs Phlebotomy tasks as required and will be provided on the job training.

Minimum Required: CNA license in state of Montana required. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must have one (1) year of experience working in Acute Care setting as a CNA. Must obtain BLS Healthcare Provider within 90 days of hire. Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.

Preferred/Desired: Experience in medical terminology preferred.

Patient Care Tech

The Patient Care Tech works as an integral part of the patient care team providing routine administrative and clerical duties at and around the nursing station, providing prompt and courteous service to patients, families, physicians, staff and public alike. Helps to monitor and facilitate activities at the nursing station and performs tasks necessary to maintain proper flow of patient care and related documentation.

Minimum Required: High school graduate or equivalent required. Must successfully complete PCT training during the first month of employment. Must obtain BLS Healthcare Provider within 90 days of hire. Must have experience in administrative support and or receptionist duties. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a stressful environment. Must have basic computer proficiency, ability to use a multi-line phone system.  Performs phlebotomy tasks as needed. Must be proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred/Desired: Preferred Medical Clerical experience and Medical Terminology. Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, health care patient records/scheduling/billing/order systems, and/or an electronic health record system.

On-Call/Weekend Requirements:  Every every third weekend.
