Cath Lab RN-PRN

This position is located in Morganton, NC.

The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting the cardiologist in diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures on adult patients and providing quality nursing care, assessing and managing patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab, and occasionally in other designated areas within the hospital. Additionally, the Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will assist the cardiologists in all aspects of invasive cardiology (diagnostic and intervention, if applicable), including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring and recording hemodynamic parameters in accordance to policy and procedure. Employee shall also be responsible for the operation and reporting of results using blood glucose and oxygen saturation devices in accordance with policy and procedure.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure/Certification:
Appropriate state licensure as Registered Nurse. Current BLS certification required. State ACLS certification required within ninety (90) days of employment.

Professional Experience:
Minimum 2 years of critical care experience or cardiac catheterization experience and working with hemodynamic waveforms and vaso-active medications is required. Ability to read and recognize EKGs and dysrhythmias required.
