About the Role
Join our OB Department and play a vital role in supporting Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and our Level II Special Care Nursery.
The OB Surgical Scrub Tech helps maintain a sterile environment, assists surgeons during procedures, and provides specialized support for obstetric patients.
Highlights
- Schedule: PRN, covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Unit: 6 labor rooms, 7 postpartum rooms, 2 outpatient rooms; 700-800 deliveries per year
- Length of Stay: 2-3 days
- Support Staff: Nurse Techs, Unit Secretaries, OB Scrub Techs
- Orientation: Tailored based on skill and experience
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent
- Certifications: BLS within 30 days of hire; CST required
- At least 1 year of surgical experience (OB preferred)
- Strong critical thinking, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure
