Reporting directly to the CEO, the People Services Director will play a pivotal role in collaborating closely with department directors, managers, and supervisors to provide administrative oversight and leadership across all departments in the organization.  In addition to leading strategic organizational initiatives, the PSD will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the entire People Services function including Spiritual Care Services and Volunteer Services.  This comprehensive role encompasses areas such as Compensation, Benefits Administration, Education, Employment Services, and HRIS. The PSD will participate as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5+ years of human resources experience in a healthcare leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success with teambuilding, collaborative work with physicians, project management, and process improvement projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. 
  • Effective human relations skills are required for interfacing with team members, all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and other contacts.  
  • Must possess the ability to effectively function in a fast pace, pressure environment. 
  • Must have the ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity. 
  • Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and highly motivated to complete tasks timely. 
  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment.

Weekend requirements: Evening and weekends as needed.
