Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician - Float - Lourdes Lab - PRN

Performs and reports waived and non-waived, routine and STAT laboratory tests in coagulation, chemistry, serology, urinalysis, immunohematology, hematology, and microbiology.  Answers technical questions pertaining to the test performance and medical significance of the ranges associated with that test. Able to recognize problems, identify the cause (technical or instrumental) and make simple corrections by using present strategies. Performs and monitors quality control and maintenance procedures within predetermined parameters. Develop and modify procedures as directed by Supervisor.

Shift Hours: 10s or 12s

Salary Range - Medical Technologist: $31.23 - $43.73

Salary Range - Medical Lab Technician: $25.43 - $33.61

EDUCATION

1. Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year College (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

2. Population Specifics: Knowledge/skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population of patients served at LMC.

3. Experience: 1 Year

4. Required Certification: MT or MLS (ASCP) Certification

5. Other: 60 Credits in Chemical, Physical or Biological Sciences
