How you'll contribute 

Pharmacy Coordinator who excels in this role:

  • Provide clinical support and coordinates all clinical pharmacy activities in the facility in collaboration with physicians, nursing services, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality and cost-effective drug therapy management to our patients.
  • Supervise all clinical pharmacy activities in the department.
  • Establish goals and directions for all clinical pharmacy services within departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Manage drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
  • Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, pharmacy students, and patients.
  • Document intervention and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
  • Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
  • Check for accuracy after filling by technicians.
  • Lead the Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.
  • Standing member of additional clinical meetings.
  • Staff periodically to meet the needs of the department.
  • Assists the pharmacy director in managerial tasks.

What we're looking for 
Applicants should have a doctor of pharmacy. Additional requirements include:

  • Current Arizona state pharmacist license required.

  • Completion of general or specialized hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
