 Position Summary:

Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
  • Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation
  • Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
  • Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
  • Will move beds and other non-technical equipment as required to complete discharge cleaning and will remove and hang cubical curtains as required
  • Documents daily tasks and times as requested
  • Transports medical waste and regular waste from all areas to the designated holding area
  • Uses chemicals as designated for cleaning purposes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
