The MRI Technologist in the Medical Imaging Department provides direct and indirect patient care. He/She applies knowledge and skills to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. The MRI Technologist must possess good communication skills and must be able to effectively communicate with physicians, peers, patients and families. He/She works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure quality care is delivered.
Reports to: Medical Imaging Director
Minimum Education
Registered Radiologic Technologist
Required Skills
Must possess strong computer skills and have the ability to work with multiple computer systems.

Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS may be obtained within one week of patient care following orientation)
Required Skills
Licenses: Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT
Required Skills
Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English
Must be able to operate standard patient care equipment for services provided
Must possess the ability to work well under pressure, to adapt quickly in changing situations, to function dependently and independently and to be flexible in applying basic radiology knowledge to a variety of settings
