Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a full-time Operating Room Materials Coordinator on daylight, M-F, from 7 AM – 3:30 PM. The Operating Room Materials Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day materials management operation of the Operation Room.

Essential Functions:
Provides Operating Room inventory control functions on a daily basis.
Ensures the uninterrupted flow of OR material by communicating with other departments and outside vendors regarding supply needs.
Reviews and updates price list, inventory records, files, product/vendor files of OR materials.
Expedites and arranges with other institutions for the lending/borrowing of items when necessary.
Coordinates product returns.
Orders stock and non-stock supplies.
Work with vendors concerning delivery dates, damaged products, short shipments, picking errors, etc.
Procures products and services at budgeted prices.
Communicates with vendors. 
Reps, OR Director and Supervisor to coordinate supplies and specialty items needed for surgery.
Track and report product expirations, high or low usage to make the necessary adjustments.
Updates inventory supplies in EPIC Materials Management.
Provide Support with Materials Management as needed and other duties related to Supply chain operations.
Participates in team and committee meetings and other projects as assigned.

Treats all co-workers, patients, families, and visitors with consideration to their rights, cultural diversity, privacy, comfort and emotional needs. Serves as a patient advocate and fosters a work culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Attends all mandatory training and completes all required Life Talent education assignments within a timely manner. Keeps updated regarding Medical Center changes through meeting attendance and review of posted information; attends briefs, debriefs, and huddles.
Abides by and references the Employee Handbook and other pertinent facility policies, including clinical, non-clinical, safety, and infection control.
Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and employee information.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills:
Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of Computer Systems, Internet, Printing Equipment, Photocopiers.
Previous related Storeroom experience preferred.
Ability to apply Technical, Critical Thinking, Communication and Interpersonal Skills
