Central Carolina Hospital, along with Duke LifePoint are seeking a passionate Nurse Extern to join the CCH Family! With more than 120 physicians and more than 500 employees, the hospital offers a wide range of specialties. Central Carolina Hospital is nestled in the heart of central North Carolina and is located only 40 minutes southwest of Raleigh, the state capital, and just 40 minutes from the gates of Fort Bragg Military base. Our facility will allow you to use, sharpen and add to your nursing skills without having to commute to a large city environment.

Nurse externs will learn to perform duties common to the departments they are training in, such as triage, resuscitation, general patient care, charting and patient assessment. Nurse Externs will provide patient care to include but not limited to, assistance with activities of daily living, vital signs and Accu-checks while under the supervision and direction of the nurse. 

We are currently looking for Nurse Externs on the following floors:

  • Emergency Department
  • Medical/Surgical
  • ICU

 

 


Required Education:

Must be in good standing with a nationally accredited nursing program in the last semester of Associates or Baccalaureate RN programs.  

Must sit for board exam within 30 days of graduation from nursing program. 

 

Required Certification:

Must be showing in the NCBON as a CNA II  

American Heart Association BLS is required
