Position Summary:
A Pharmacy Technician- Medication Reconciliation Specialist will improve prescribing safety by compiling correct, current medication lists for patients admitted to the hospital. They will optimize the medication reconciliation process for providers and decrease medication errors by alleviating incomplete or inaccurate mediation history information. A Pharmacy Technician- Medication Reconciliation Specialist will also be responsible for updates and clarifies drug allergy information for the patient’s electronic health record and maintaining other standard capabilities and functions of a pharmacy technician, including preparing, charging, prepackaging, delivering, outdating, ordering, and receiving medications under the supervision of the Pharmacist.

Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Required License:
NCBOP Pharmacy Technician Registration is required
Required Certification:
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certificate is required
