How you'll contribute
A Senior Staff Accountant, LBS Journal Entry Accounting, who excels in this role:
• Manages the preparation, oversight, and review of journal entries for a portfolio of facilities and site liaisons
• Works closely with LBS Finance, HSC Accounting, and facility finance teams on the treatment of complex accounting transactions
• Reviews journal entries for appropriateness and accounting validity, ensuring entries are properly supported and compliant with standards
• Collaborates heavily with Site Liaison and Technical Accounting teams during the month-end close
• Researches and resolves technical accounting issues, providing supporting documentation and justification
• Performs general ledger, subledger, and journal entry analysis using tools such as OTBI, SmartView, and other reporting systems
• Operates in alignment with service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure facilities receive accurate and timely support
• Identifies opportunities to improve processes and promote standardization
• Provides training and guidance to support team development
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a strong background in accounting, journal entry preparation, and financial analysis. Additional requirements include:
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• CPA designation preferred (active license maintained if applicable)
• Strong understanding of GL accounting, journal entry support standards, and internal controls
• Experience with Oracle reporting tools such as OTBI and SmartView preferred
• Ability to manage competing priorities within month-end close timelines
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
