We are seeking a passionate, creative and goal-oriented Director of Utilization Management to join the team at Cornerstone Behavioral Health-El Dorado and have an immediate impact on expanding on our success, growing our services and fulfilling our mission of improving the lives of all we touch.
As a Director of Utilization Management you will:
Directs, plans and coordinates all inpatient, partial hospital and intensive outpatient program utilization management activities.
Ensures utilization review activities are completed accurately and timely.
This includes obtaining authorizations for services, coordinating peer-to-peer process and follow-up and managing clinical denials and appeals.
Coordinates closely with the hospital’s interdisciplinary teams to provide positive patient outcomes through high quality practices while managing resources efficiently.
Directs the management of the financial resources of the patient and family through the coordination of quality service delivery, working to ensure financial reimbursement of each individual case as required by third party payors.
Manages relationships with payor and referral sources, the facilitation and coordination of the discharge planning process.
Collaborates closely with the hospital CEO/Administrator, COO/Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical Services, Business Office Director and Medical Staff.
As a Director of Utilization Management you will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Psychology or like area, or LVN/LPN.
Independent Practice Scope License in state of practice, LCSW, LMFT, LPC or BSN RN, Preferred.
Minimum three years’ experience in an Inpatient mental health setting.
