Essential Functions
Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administermedication as ordered by a physician within their scope of practice. Documents patient care given.
Assists RN with development of plan of care.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Job Requirements
Minimum EducationX Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required and Validated by a current license in this field. A current license in the field will validate this requirement.
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Handle with Care within 60 days of hire and renewed annually
Certifications:X Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hireX Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hireX Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred
Licenses: State of KY current unrestricted LPN licenseSuccessful completion of Skills Competency Validation Checklist
