POSITION SUMMARY:
The Analyst - Cyber Threat is responsible for protecting Lifepoint Health's digital assets and infrastructure from cyber threats. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Monitor security systems and respond to alerts and incidents.
- Conduct threat analysis and vulnerability assessments.
- Investigate and document security breaches and incidents.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices.
- Maintain and update security tools, including Email Security Gateway, EDR/XDR, SIEM, and SSPM.
- Assist in audits and compliance efforts related to HIPAA, HITRUST, and other frameworks.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security operations.

- Familiarity with security frameworks (CIS, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Google Chronicle, Splunk).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP) preferred.
