Job Title: Medical Staff Coordinator
Job Type: Full time Monday - Friday
Wage Range: $19.41 - $27.46
POSITION SUMMARY
Medical Staff Coordinator duties by assisting medical staff organization in the activities of the organization with knowledge of regulatory and/or accrediting agencies, interpreting standards and implementing change. Responsible for medical staff credentialing process. Acts as a liaison between health system administration, medical staff, hospital staff and the Governing Body. Reports to: Director of Physician Practices
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Completes Provider credentialing and Provider onboarding scheduling.
- Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.
- Assists with Locum recruitment and is responsible for Locum scheduling.
- Completes affiliation verifications.
- Other Miscellaneous Medical Staff Functions (i.e. interpreting/implementing Medical Staff Bylaws and assisting Providers as needed).
- Composes, types, and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications.
- Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls.
- Responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.

Job Requirements
- Minimum Highschool diploma required
- Minimum Work Experience 1 year experience in a Medical office setting preferred
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Works independently with proven organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment
- Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint
