Radiology Imaging Specialist

Essential Responsibilities

· Provides coverage for reception duties and greets/manages Epic patient check in process.

· Process requested image information and reports for patient appointments.

· Answer phones.

· Does outgoing physician mail.

· Files/scans correspondence electronically and film in a manner prescribed by the Radiology Department.

· Operates all file room equipment (duplicating equipment - PAC’S - Vidar Scanner - PAC’S Scanner - Rimage - ICAD - Nuance PowerShare - AQ Net - Barco Monitors).

· Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery requests.

· Troubleshoot equipment problems.

· Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance/reports on equipment as required.

· Imports/exports/prints/digitize patient images.

· Participates in peer competencies.

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Â- Education

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Clerical course in high school.

Â- Experience

Required: One year clerical experience.

Required: Experience with computers.

Preferred: Hospital experience in clerical setting.

Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Ability to actively and professionally communicate with patients, physicians and fellow employees.

Ability to upgrade knowledge on computer applications
