Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the on-site point of contact for the coordination and oversight of hospital-based systems, including Physical Access Control Systems (ACS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS). This Brentwood-based role involves close collaboration with OEMs, VAR partners, and service providers to ensure all systems are secure, supportable, and operating efficiently.
This role is critical for system monitoring, vendor coordination, and hands-on project execution, and includes responsibility for budget development and management related to system maintenance, upgrades, and replacements.
Essential Functions
- System Management
Oversee implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of ACS, BAS, and potentially nurse call systems. Ensure optimal performance and security through on-site coordination. - Vendor & Supplier Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, VARs, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, manage SLAs, and coordinate technology integrations. - Operational Oversight
Conduct regular system audits, monitor performance, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. - Security Compliance
Ensure systems comply with applicable security standards and regulations. Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. - Technical Support
Provide on-site coordination for technical support and troubleshooting. Act as liaison between end-users and vendors for escalated issues. - Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities. Deliver regular performance and project status reports. - Project Management
Lead on-site projects related to ACS and BAS deployment and enhancement. Ensure timely and budget-conscious execution. - Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Regular and reliable on-site attendance is essential.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing ACS and BAS systems
- Experience in hospital plant management or building operations highly desirable
Certifications (Preferred but not required)
- Physical Security Professional (PSP)
- Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)
- Certified Automation Professional (CAP)
- Access Control Professional (ACP)
