How you'll contribute
The Application Support Analyst provides support for key information systems, including the daily management of related applications. The Analyst will support and provide oversight for system changes, including user requests, software updates and new system functionality. The Analyst is responsible for developing, monitoring, and generating reports. The Application Support Analyst may be required to conduct research for any reported system issues, evaluate and recommend specific software and system, and provide coordination for incident management and resolution processes. Throughout the execution of these responsibilities the Application Support Analyst is expected to uphold the business standards and core mission of the organization. It may be necessary for the Analyst to act as a liaison for internal customers, external business partners, and other stakeholders.
The Analyst maintains foundational compliance systems, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting functionality. Assists with risk assessment, work plans, and reporting by gathering data, preparing dashboards, and drafting analyses for leadership review. Monitors regulatory updates, supports due diligence reviews, and helps coordinate education and training delivery and participation tracking, all while contributing to a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
Review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations to determine impact of proposed software changes, enhancements, upgrades, replacements or new automation initiatives.
Develop and direct software system testing and training procedures, documentation, timelines and contingency planning.
Consult with customer concerning maintenance of software system policies and procedures.
Develop Ad Hoc reports from various systems.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as required to perform job functions related to troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades to systems.
Coordinates maintenance activity involving other affected systems with IT staff and affected areas.
Responsible for monitoring accuracy of computer output and data integrity for assigned systems.
Consults with department directors to make recommendations/implement changes that maximize the functionality of assigned systems. Makes recommendations to IT Director.
Works closely with department directors and/or supervisors to ensure development and implementation of department down time procedures.
Mentors and trains ancillary staff on system changes, in order to enhance their functionality of systems.
Participates in system planning activities as they related to the system upgrades.
Provides support to systems users, answers and resolves problems related to systems functionality.
Regularly participates in systems team leads meetings and reports deficiencies and/or suggests changes.
Performs analysis, QA testing, validation and deployment of applicable applications.
Monitors system performance, and reports relevant anomalies, issues or opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations as needed.
Closely monitors event logs for diagnostic purposes.
All Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Two or more years of healthcare experience with a minimum of two (2) years of of software application support. Proficient in MS office.
Ability to contribute to projects and adhere to Project Management required processes and standards within the organization. Capable of working independently and delivering appropriate and timely feedback to Senior team members and management as required.
Education
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college - Required
This position can expect travel up to 10%
