How you will contribute 

An Assistant Manager (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Supervise and coordinate afternoon OR staff.
  • Coordinates changes to the OR schedule with the anesthesia team and surgeons.
  • Communicates with the PAR and PACU nursing staff to facilitate improved throughput of patients.
  • Completes patient and family rounding and service recovery as needed.
  • Make adjustments to staffing as needed to account for add on or cancelled cases.
  • Provide patient care as needed to facilitate surgical needs of patients.

What we are looking for

 

Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).

 

Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

  • 2 years Perioperative Experience (Preferred)
  • 3 years Leadership Experience (Preferred)
  • CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) (Preferred)
