Our team and this position support Lifepoint Health's Regulatory Support function of the Ethics & Compliance department, which is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous maturation of the enterprise-wide compliance program.
How you'll contribute
An AVP, Compliance Program Support who excels in this role will:
Partner with the Vice President, Compliance Program Structure & Regulatory Support to translate enterprise compliance strategy into actionable compliance program processes and activities, providing regular insights and updates.
Lead coordination of major program elements, including compliance risk assessments, work plans, auditing and monitoring activities, annual reports, education and training plans, investigation processes, speak-up culture initiatives, and compliance risk evaluations and related guidance for innovation initiatives and other emerging strategies.
Manage the development of compliance processes for integration across the enterprise, considering all lines of business in development of processes for reporting, investigations, conflicts of interest, policy management, sanctions and exclusions, and due diligence.
Oversee the structuring of regulatory monitoring systems to proactively identify and respond to relevant regulatory changes, and ensure appropriate assignment and escalation of notifications.
Drive program analytics, dashboard reporting, effectiveness measures, communication strategies, incentive and consequence programs, and cultural and other initiatives.
Lead compliance program participation in due diligence activities for corporate transactions, ensuring timely, thorough, and accurate response.
Support enterprise responses to regulatory inquiries and serve as the escalation point for complex compliance issues, partnering with colleagues across Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Regulatory & Accreditation, Quality, Information Technology, ERM and others.
Lead prioritization of compliance risk mitigation efforts, including risks identified from enterprise risk management data sources and metrics.
Represent the compliance program in cross-functional committees and initiatives with accountability for evaluating compliance risks and addressing compliance implications.
Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to directors and managers within the Compliance Program Support team to build team capability.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Law, Business, Nursing, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Certification in healthcare compliance (e.g., CHC, CHPC) required.
The position will be on-site and will travel occasionally, less than 25%.
Additional requirements include:
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, or regulatory roles with at least three (3) years of experience in a leadership capacity.
Proven experience developing and implementing compliance program processes at a large, complex organization.
Experience evaluating and providing guidance on compliance risks in transactions and innovative initiatives.
Experience in a matrixed or multi-entity healthcare system preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Deep knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations and regulatory enforcement trends
Exceptional strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong analytical and data visualization capabilities
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence without direct authority and to work collaboratively across departments and divisions
Proven ability to manage sensitive issues and complex disclosures with discretion and professionalism
Proficiency in MS Office programs
