The operating room is equipped with six beds and handles an average of 400 cases per month. The scope of procedures includes a diverse range of specialties: Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Cataract and Retinal Eye surgeries, Gynecologic, Laparoscopic and Endoscopic, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Plastic and Reconstructive, and Gastroenterological surgeries. The majority of cases are general and orthopedic. Surgical operations are conducted Monday through Friday, with additional night, weekend, and holiday call rotations to ensure continuous coverage.
How you'll contribute
A Billing Coordinator who excels in this role:
Coordinate daily operations of the Central Billing Office to ensure accurate and timely billing, payment posting, and collection of funds for all billable services.
Submit electronic and paper insurance claims and monitor accounts to ensure claims are processed accurately and within required timelines.
Post electronic payments, charges, adjustments, and patient payments with a high degree of accuracy while maintaining proper account documentation.
Review and verify coding accuracy using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines to ensure compliance with billing regulations and payer requirements.
Communicate with patients, providers, and third-party payers to verify eligibility, benefits, and patient financial responsibility for assigned accounts.
Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collection efforts to support organizational goals for cash collections, AR days, and reduction of bad debt.
Collaborate with clinical staff, administration, and external vendors to resolve billing issues, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and support efficient revenue cycle operations.

What we're looking for
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
CPC or equivalent coding/billing credential preferred; knowledge of medical terminology desired.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience with insurance billing and collecting unpaid accounts.
Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification preferred.
Provider credentialing experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
Familiarity with healthcare coding standards (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
