How you'll contribute 

A Business Office Manager who excels in this role:

• Oversees the hospital's revenue cycle, including gross charges, insurance billing, collections, adjustments, and accounts payable.
• Performs key accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, bank and account reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger review, financial analysis, and month-end close activities.
• Maximizes the collection of payments for medical services from patients, insurance carriers, and other payers, while identifying opportunities to improve revenue cycle processes.
• Utilizes web-based tools and internal systems to provide insurance companies with required documentation and to review and verify patient billable charges.
• Assists with audits and charge reviews to ensure billing accuracy and capture any missed revenue.
• May serve as the primary payroll processor, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Supports additional projects and operational tasks as needed.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business preferred or equivalent experience.  Additional requirements include.

• Accounts Receivable and general accounting experience.

   

• Must be able to deal professionally with patients, physicians, visitors, and the general public.

• Must possess a high degree of analytical ability and strategic thinking.

UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 52-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.

Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

We strive to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

Hourly range: $32 - $40 per hour
