How you'll contribute
A Cath Lab Technologist who excels in this role:
- Performs variety of technical supportive patient care tasks before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and special procedures.
- Primarily responsible for the care of patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Responsible for assisting with all procedures providing patient education, assessment and monitoring, and participating in performance improvement activities.
- Monitors hemodynamics, electrocardiograms, and waveform analysis.
- Participates in Quality Assurance and practices infection control policies.
- Assured that appropriate orders are obtained and followed during the performance of all procedures.
- Assist cardiologists in invasive procedures including cardiac catheterization, coronary interventions, diagnostic peripheral cases, and peripheral angioplasty.
- Assist physician in ICD insertions, insertion of temporary pacemakers, Swans-Ganz insertions, intra-aortic ballons, and implanting of permanent pacemakers.
- Accepts assignment of call rotation.
- Review patient history and physician's orders.
- Verifies patient's identification before performing any procedure.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepare equipment and supplies.
- Implement safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.

What we're looking for
Applicants should be a graduate of a Radiology Technology program. Additional requirements include:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) requires.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required within 90 days of hire
