How you'll contribute
A Central Sterile Tech (CS Tech) who excels in this role:
Collect, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, store, and distribute reusable surgical instruments and patient care equipment throughout the hospital.
Ensure all instrument processing follows established guidelines and regulatory standards, including AAMI, AORN, TJC, OSHA, manufacturer instructions, and hospital policies.
Operate sterilization and departmental equipment safely and efficiently according to manufacturer instructions.
Process and document sterile supplies and equipment using chemical, biological, and mechanical indicators to confirm proper sterilization.
Monitor and perform antimicrobial and disinfectant solution testing daily while maintaining accurate documentation.
Maintain organized sterile storage areas and help ensure supplies and equipment are readily available for patient care needs.
Provide excellent customer service to surgical teams and hospital departments while supporting safe, timely patient care.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Central Sterile Technician (CSR) certification within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
