The Family Medicine Clinic at Highpoint Health Winchester provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. How you'll contribute

A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who excels in this role:

- Assists physicians and nurses with patient assessments, treatments, and clinical procedures.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitors patient condition and communicates changes to the care team as appropriate.
- Documents patient care and clinical information accurately in the medical record.
- Prepares examination rooms and maintains a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including stocking and reordering as needed.
- Performs administrative duties including scheduling, reception, data entry, filing, and patient registration.
- Supports patient flow and ensures a positive experience for patients and families.

What we require

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent required

Licensure / Certification
CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and patient-centered care.
