Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - PRN Day, Physician Services
Reports To: Director of Physician Services
Position Summary
Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned physician services or office.
Education and Credentials
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent required.
Licensure and Certification
CCMA, CMA, or RMA required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required up-on hire
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Strong communication and documentation skills required.
Essential Functions
Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with patient assessments and treatments.
Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
Documents patient care provided.
Maintains medical equipment and supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Prepares and maintains examination rooms.
Performs administrative and clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
Non-Essential Functions
Performs other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
