Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Location: Winchester Clinic
Full Time Days: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Reports To: Director of Physician Services
Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned clinic or physician office. This role works under the direction of a physician or licensed nurse to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while supporting daily clinic operations.
Education & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent required
Licensure/Certification
Active CCMA, CMA, or RMA required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress clinical environment
Strong communication and documentation skills
Attention to detail and a patient-focused mindset
Essential Functions
Assist physicians and/or nurses with patient assessments and treatments
Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the clinical team
Accurately document patient care, treatments, and observations in the medical record
Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies, including cleaning, stocking, reordering, and troubleshooting
Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned, including patient registration, scheduling, reception, filing, and data entry
Non-Essential Functions
Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations and patient care
