Reports To: Director of Physician Services

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Tullahoma. In this role, you will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional care within our practice.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent required.

  • License/Certification: Must hold one of the following credentials: CCMA, CMA, or RMA.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire.

Required Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to make sound decisions and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.

Essential Functions

  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient assessments, exams, and treatments.

  • Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.

  • Monitor and communicate any changes in patient condition and document care provided.

  • Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including ordering, cleaning, and troubleshooting.

  • Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas.

  • Perform clerical duties such as patient registration, scheduling, data entry, and filing.
