Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the Highpoint Walk-In Clinic. This role works under the supervision of a physician or nurse to support patient care, clinic flow, and daily operations in a fast-paced walk-in environment.

Education and Credentials
Education (Required):
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent

Licensure (Required):
CCMA, CMA, or RMA

Certifications:
AHA-Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Required Skills and Abilities
Strong critical thinking and sound judgment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Essential Functions
Assist physicians or nurses with patient assessments and treatments
Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
Monitor patient condition and promptly communicate changes to clinical staff
Accurately document patient care provided
Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including cleaning, stocking, reordering, and troubleshooting
Prepare and maintain examination rooms to support patient flow
Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned, including reception, scheduling, filing, data entry, and patient registration

Non-Essential Functions
Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
