Job Summary 
The surgical tech prepares and maintains a sterile environment, positioning patients for optimal exposure, comfort, and safety. Assist surgeons by preparing sterile tables, passing instruments, and ensuring accurate counts of surgical items. During procedures, you will provide visualization of the operative site through retraction, suctioning, irrigation, and sponging; control bleeding; and assist with closure, dressing application, and drainage placement. The role also includes scrubbing in, gowning and gloving for self and surgeons, adhering to sterile technique, and performing on-call duties as needed, along with fulfilling Patient Care Tech responsibilities in Perinatal Services.

Qualifications and requirements 
Applicants should have graduate of a Surgical Technology program and/or current surgical technologist certification. Additional requirements include:
•    One year experience in the Operating Room within an acute care facility preferred.
